Every year on September 5, we celebrate Teachers\u2019 Day. On this day in the year 1888, a very great teacher and philosopher were born in Tirunatti, Tamil Nadu. His name was Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was the former 2nd President of India. Once he said to his students that,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born in a middle-class family in Tirunatti, Tamil Nadu. He was a very bright scholar in his childhood. He has completed his education at a school in Tirupati. Then, he was sent to Vellore for his further studies. He studied philosophy at a Christian College, Madras and after that, he became a very famous philosopher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his late 30s, he got an offer from Calcutta University for a professorship. From 1931 to 1936, he was the Vice-Chancellor at Andhra University. In 1939, Banaras Hindu University made him the Vice-President of the University. Then in 1952, he was appointed as the 1st Vice-President of India. After that, he became the 2nd President of India in 1962 for the next 5 years. He was praised with Bharat Ratna Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
