Now it has become a ritual to solemnize this day as a tribute to the soldiers, sailors, and airmen of our country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>\u201cIndia has the world\u2019s 3<\/b><b>rd<\/b><b> largest military force with 1.3 million active personnel, 1.15 million reserve personnel and 1.3 million paramilitary personnel\u201d.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The celebration of this event is named Armed Forces Flag Day because on this day the fund is collected from the people by selling Indian colorful flags, stickers, and labels. This is one of the most prestigious annual celebrations in India providing rehabilitation to the victims, helping their families, and welfare of the ex-servicemen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The people in Army, Navy, and Air Force never think about their lives and family and many of them lost their lives in the war, many became disabled and handicapped. This day brings hope in their lives who had sacrificed their lives for the country\u2019s betterment strengthening the bond among people of India and personnel of Armed forces.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>How it is Celebrated?<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On this day, the staff of Indian Military (the Indian Navy, the Indian Air Force, and the Indian Army) organizes different cultural and traditional programs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The staff also takes part in distributing the small Indian flags throughout the country. Car flags and token flags in deep blue, red, and light colors represent the three services that are delivered to the public throughout the country by the Kendriya Sainik Board.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Collection of Funds<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Indian Armed Forces Day was set up by the committee of Defense Minister. The collected fund is managed by the local arms of the Kendriya Sainik Board (which is a part of Ministry of Defense).
