It is observed internationally to create awareness of global population. This day was introduced by Governing council of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in 1989. This event was started when the government saw a rapid increase in population of the world in 1987. This was introduced when population all around the globe had reached about five billion. This big step was taken by UNDP to deal with health and education issues of people. Now 11th July is seen as World Population Day all over the world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><cite>Source: Allinfographics.org<\/cite><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The world population has reached up to seven billion and still growing in number. This increasing population has created a major crisis all around the earth. For maintaining a balance population, World Population day is observed. This day aims at increasing awareness among the public on various population issues such as health, family planning, gender equality, poverty, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Last year on <strong>World Population Day<\/strong> that is 11th July 2105, <strong>Jansankhya Sthirata Kosh<\/strong> (JSK) organized Walkathon towards population stabilization\u2019\u2019 at India Gate in India. In this Walkathon organized by JSK, thousand of youth from Universities, Colleges, and various institutions participated with full pomp and show. This effort was made to draw the attention of masses towards the issues of population Stabilization.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The main objectives of World Population Day are as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">For establishing gender equality.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Removing gender stereotypes from society by educating them.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To prevent people from STD\u2019s (<strong>Sexually Transmitted Diseases<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To educate the youth about delayed marriages.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To avoid unwanted pregnancies.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To provide primary education to each and every child whether a boy or a girl.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To provide easy healthcare access to one and all.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To solve population issues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><cite>Source: wikimedia.org<\/cite><\/p>\n<p><strong>India<\/strong> is ranked as the second most populated country\u00a0of the World. The population of India as on Sunday, 10th July 2016 is 1 billion. India\u2019s population is equivalent to 17.84% of total World Population. The population of our country is rapidly increasing and it is a matter of great concern as the day isn\u2019t far when we will be ranked 1st among the World Population. This issue isn\u2019t so easy to resolve.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So the need of the hour is to join hands and control the population of whole world.
