Team India has bounced back from the dead in the current world cup after a forgettable performance in test matches and tri-series in Australia. Now India is leading in Pool B tally after beating their arch-rivals Pakistan and subsequently the rest. M.S Dhoni must be credited for the exemplifying performance of the team and has led the team from the front. Mr.Cool has given 10 consecutive wins in the world cup. The team is playing as a unit and has outshone others in bowling and fielding. These were considered to be the weakest areas of Team India which they have conquered and like how. India has emerged as a brilliant ODI side and proven their mettle in the international tournament.

Splendid Job with the Bat

The stupendous performance of our team has led the professional cricketers and critics to hunt for the secret of Indian team success. According to ace cricketer Sourav Ganguly, the startling opening performance by Shikhar Dhawan is one of the contributing factors to team India’s success. He was not playing his natural game during the Australian series and invited a lot of wrath from critics and audience. But since the onset of the World Cup, we have noticed that Shikhar Dhawan has been playing freely and has become the most successful Indian batsman. It may be owing to the fact that we are not facing Australia every time and the likes of Mitchell Johnson and Mitchell Stark every day. Today he has become one of the top five run-scorers of this world cup only due to his sheer hard work. The batmen have not disappointed the Indian fans this time.Shikhar

Bowling Like Never Before

It is a bowling miracle that we have managed to bowl out the entire opponent team before the fifty overs, yet another record in the making. Our spinners and fast bowlers have been put to maximum utilization to their capacity that has deflected the pressure from the batsmen. The bowlers need to be given a credit that has been long overdue as they have turned the tables in this tournament. They have surpassed everyone’s expectations especially if we talk about Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav, R.Ashwin. It is not every day that you see an Indian Bowler hitting 145 kmph on a consistent basis. Mohammed Shami was injured during the tri-series and was not sure if he would be in playing 11. But with the first match against Pakistan, he excelled in his bowling performance. His ability to grab a wicket in the initial and death over shakes the confidence of the opposing team. We cannot ignore Mohit Sharma’s performance who turned out to be a spectacular bowler from our side. He was replacing injured Ishant Sharma and did a phenomenal job with the ball. No one can forget how he took Hashim Amla’s wicket and paved way for a good start for Indian side.

Ashwin walked off with his career-best figure of 4 for 25 and man of the match award in tow by finding the right spots and putting his honest effort with every ball.

Spreading the Fielding

If anyone can call ‘the weakest link’ on the Indian side, it had to the fielding but the cricketer shave silenced the tongues with their extraordinary fielding too. In the match against South Africa, our fielders showed tremendous improvement from the earlier outings. The fielding was a shade higher thanks to the likes of Mohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma not to forget Ajinkya Rahane. Their agility in the field saved a lot of precious runs, unbelievable catches, and some crucial run-outs. This is how team India has managed to put the opponents in a tight spot and eventually they bowed down to our winning streak. Chris Gayle, AB Devillers, and many more were the victims of the excellent fielding capacity of our men in blue.

According to team India’s captain, there is no secret to our success but the way the boys are taking more responsibility and playing as a unit is commendable. Playing in the packed houses with immense support from the fans can be attributed to our success.
